Aug 31, 2017 7:10 PM

I having a procedure called a hysteroscopy and I thought I was going to be put by looking it up and seeing how it's done. But no because my directions say eat a good breakfast and bring the medicine that the doctor ordered because they will administer to me there. So the meds I picked up is xanax 2mg, percocet 7.5mg, zofran, and Motrin 800. I'm scared because they going up in there and can burn off anything they see. If any of you ladies had this procedure done please tell me how everything went.

Do you mean a hysterectomy?

I had it done many years ago. They didn't put me out either, but it really wasn't too bad. The medications helped to keep me calm and I took my muscle relaxer that morning too. That helped. If you do have a muscle relaxer though check with a pharmacist before adding it to that mix. Do you need a driver? I wish my memory worked better. They gave me something that dulls the pain and the memiry of the procedure. But since it was a twilight drug i had to.have a driver.

Had the surgery in 2005, so I don't remember the particulars. I do know I never doubted the decision to have it done. Happy camper!

You’ll be okay. The meds will have you in twilight sleep. Awake but not aware. You’ll need a ride home. The big dose of Motrin can cause increased nausea and bleeding.
