Pseudo tumor cerebri

Nov 18, 2014 10:03 PM

Hi everyone I just wanted to share with you my life story off illness in hopes it will make you feel better about yourselfs.
I'm a teenager and one and a half years ago I was diagnosed with something called "pseudo tumor cerebri" most of you probaly don't know what this is. It's a "fake" tumor basically it acts like one but dosent take the form of it. Basically I produce to much spinal fluid and it sits on my optic nerve ( the optic nerve is one of the most important nerves it runs from your brain to your eye) it causes me to throw up and have severe headaches. Because of this I had to quit volleyball. When this all started we had no idea what it was I went the gastro route then indoctinology until I went in for an eye check up and they found it. This took 5 months to find out and at that time I was throwing up 40 times a day. They then did a spinal tap to release fluid and I now take medicine but still get relapses every once in a while. So I'm sorry for the long paragraph but I hope this made you feel better about what's going on with you.
