Psoriatic arthritis

Jul 17, 2014 7:29 PM

I've been having a flare up for 2 weeks and even after steriods and Valium and lots of pain meds my body is still aching all over. I've missed tons of work the last 2 weeks because I've been physically unable. been doing really gentle movements such as seated yoga and wrist movements just to try and loosen up a bit. my body is so sore and achy now and the fatigue this past week has been very bad. I'm on a healthy diet and I don't drink or smoke I do yoga and swimming and walking all low impact ex cerise for joint mobility. I take fish oils and gluecosame and have an aloe Vera drink to keep myself healthy. but my god when I get bad it certainly is painful. :/

Have you tried a gluten free diet, I've done it for 2 months now and my pain has decreased a lot :) also I've been avoiding sugars. I also have psoriatic arthritis and yoga has worked really well for me, it hurted at first but after a while it feel good.

Actually, I tried gluten-free before diagnosis and noticed that I moved more easily and didn't have that concrete feeling in my legs. Now that I know what's wrong with me I'm going to try it again :-)

I don't have psoriatic arthritis but have osteoarthritis. I was recently dx (diagnosed) with Sjogrens, and these along with the hypoparathyroidism & fibromyalgia are the major causes of my joint & muscle pain & fatigue. I attempted a gluten free diet, due to allergies to wheat and soy, but had way too much going on & adversity from my hubby that I gave it up. But just about every book I've been reading mentioned gluten issues. I told my hubby this A.M. that I was going to do it again and he can just keep his foods separate. When I told him why he was more supportive. Hope and pray we all have good results for any changes we're trying to make for our health! 🙏🌼
