I've noticed it too. They just diagnosed me with 1)a low-normal ejection fraction (50-54%) of the left ventricle ( norm is 55% and up; my dads is 71%; 49% and below is congestive heart failure)...& 2) mitral valve regurgitation, &3) angina. I don't know if that's why I hear my pulse or not, but I plan to ask at my follow up.
Do you have a high resting pulse rate? I had heart trouble during my last pregnancy and was diagnosed with (I cannot think of the right medical terms) skipping beats and high pulse and palpitations. They improved significantly after birth enough that I haven't been back to a cardiologist since.
Yes I do. My blood pressures gone up & so has my heart rate, both higher than normal for me. Previous to EKG changes was appx 112/78 bp w/ hr of 78 to 121/82 w/ 82 hr... Now closer to 127/78 to 132/87 bp w/ 89-99 hr
My EKG's have been normal, my BP is usually 120/72 (except when I go to pain management, it goes up). My resting pulse is usually between 58-60 bpm. Sometimes I do get swooshing sounds in my ears and it's usually when I'm on stress overload.
