Quell Wearable Device

May 14, 2015 1:47 AM

I just saw this awesome device that was just approved by the FDA and will be available in late spring. Remember the name in the title. it is a device you wrap around your calf. it somehow knows the levels of your pain and what positions you are in and adjust to give a modest relief of pain. It sounds like a tens unit but so much better. They say they will be selling them for $250.00. It looked like a lot of research went into it. They said it will be great for Diabetic neurapatic pain, Fibromyalia and other chronic pains. Just keeping you informed.

Thanks! I'll definitely be checking it out. My stepdad has neuropathic pain in his feet and hands due to chemotherapy and my husband has back pain and diabetic neuropathy. Don't know if it would help me, but who knows?

Huh, wonder how it differs from nerve blocks in what it does and nerves it aims at. Also curious about why the calf is used as the center for controlling everywhere else in the body, I've never heard of any other aproaches that use the calf... Very interesting thank you.
