What do you guys do or what works for those after activity pains? Threw the football with my daughter yesterday and today I hurt from my neck down.

Usually after an activity like that I medicate and rest. If its soar at all I'd try a mediated rub and rest.

I will usually take my meds, use heat or ice and then rest. If that doesn't help, I go into distraction mode and listen to good music and either color or watch something on TV or Netflix to keep my mind off of it. Hope this is helpful!! {{{Hugs}}} 💕🙏🏻🌻

Meds & rest & heart of ice if needed.

What is the best over the counter pain reliever that works for everyone?

Feb 21, 2016 4:15 PM

For me either regular Advil or Excedrin(has to be aspirin-free)

I usually take every med possible for pain. I take my oxycodone for the pain, the gabapentin for nerve pain, ibuprofen for inflammation and a muscle relaxer. I take them all at the same time. I can't do sports but if I am going to go out shopping and move all over the place or if I am going to clean house, I use this combination after I am done. I will do that and immediately start biofeedback. It helps me a lot. I can make my body numb with biofeedback but then I have to make sure I don't get up. Best wishes for your relief.

Know your limitations and don't do what makes it hurt that bad. Nothing from ice, heat, otc meds to pain meds help if I over do it. A tens unit did help some I would crank it up as much as i could take with the large pads until my only focus was the thumping. Not sure if it was a pain reliever of mind over matter.
