Question about the pain diary...

Sep 24, 2016 1:57 PM

My car insurance company just informed me that I need to keep a daily pain log. (ugh... Now they tell me)

Is there a way to edit the pain diary and enter dates other than today?

My poor car. :(

Thank you newfobrogirl. I guess I will type up on using Microsoft word. From the date of the accident until I found this site. Then I can print off the diary here, right?

Yes..what I did was I took a picture of my entries with my tablet then emailed them to myself and printed them that way. It took a whike but it worked.

I was able to enter historical data. You can either create a new entry or copy(click on the plus on right side of existing entry) you can then edit that entry and change the date/time frame and any changes in intensity and location of pain.

Thank you! Am going to try that. Is there a way to print the charts and entries..

Sep 24, 2016 6:18 PM

Yes there is.. you need to e-mail it to yourself and then you can print it out for your doctors..

Download the 'Catch My Pain' app, you can put in any date you need. That is the sister app to Pain Companion. Personally I would just hand write a journal. If you decide to use this app set up a new user account since you have posed the question under this user name. You need to be a detailed as possible. Good luck.

Where do I find the Catch My.Pain app? Sorry... Brains a little foggy. :)

Sep 24, 2016 8:07 PM

Mimikay, go to patientslikeme.com you can have a detailed pain journal, it has many many features, and you can edit dates and put in entries for past dates, I usually do the pain journal coloring on here, take screen shots of them, put them in one pic in a 4 square lay out and upload the pic to the PLM.com journal so I have it there too. I've been told they have an app for iphone and are coming out with one for android soon too.

Mimsy if you get into the PLM.com site and do it, it really helps and you really feel the suplort and you often find people with the same or almost the same combo as you, it's great. But like I said I do this one and that ine and it helps a lot

Samantha.. When I first found it there were so many questions etc..I was deep in a fibro fog and the whole site was really confusing to me. I got discouraged and never went back. That was several years ago so perhaps it will make more sense now. :) Will check it out.

Oh so very sorry! I would also like to know. Had similar experience recently. Have used paper for years until stumbling up in app only recently. Apparently much better and Love community, members, etc!
