Mich60, Iget them every 6 months to a year.. they work sometimes and smetimes not. Ia actually schedualed for one on Nov. 7th. they do one side and two weeks later they do the other side.

Word of advice, I wuld get somene to drive you there and back and ask for sedation..( awake sedation) otherwise you'll be trying to jump off the table. you will be sore for about 3 or 4 days afterwads but once it takes you will be feeling so muh better!

My doctor always makes sure that there is someone there to drive me. He used to give versed. Not sure if he still does or has changed. I have had them twice. Both times they helped. .Not sure if all doctors do this but mine does a trial first to see if it works. If the trial doesn't work then the burn won't either. My first time he did the trial on both sides (i get them in neck and upper back). Then he has you record how you feel each day. 2 weeks later he repeats the trial. If you were able to receive a measurable amount of relief he will schedule it. The second time he just did one trial. Am getting ready to do the trial again on the 17th.

Thanks! Helpful to hear! Now that I have heard about the "trials" first, I do believe that I had a few trials in my neck and wasn't working. Maybe different story this time around! I always insist on sedation! I'm pretty opioid tolerant so I usually get a double-propofol would be ideal, but just fentanyl and versed cocktail usual offering! Thanks for your feedback! 💖

Haha alwayz, I might be having propofol and ketamine boluses and the Infusions for an MRI. Guess I can look forward to feeling high as a kite and relaxed, if I don't feel sick that is
