For 2 days the rain and pain is getting worse. Aching in elbows and knees terrible stomach cramps low back pain that won't stop numbness and tingling in both hands and feet. I just want some relief at least for a minute or two.
I'm still trying to get use to this pain increase with the weather change. I thought it was bad in the winter but the spring systems going through my area are really kicking it up. What I wouldn't give to go back a few years ago when this time of the year I'd be preparing for weekend softball leagues and actually hanging out with people.
Pumkin85, I am sorry to hear that you are so very miserable. I know what its like to be awake and exhausted and not be able to get any relief for it. I have been in pain 24/7/365 for the last 22 years and it's a nightmare. There are times I have questioned why I am even still here but I know that God must have a plan for me. I have been blessed to meet many wonderful people here and it was like someone threw me a life line. It's a wonderful community, no judgement zone and you never have to feel self conscious if you need to vent. I hope you get some relief. Feel better,
Alwayzinpain thanks. I really appreciate your concern. I'm 29 and I've been dealing with these types of pain for about 7 years. It all started after my ulnar nerve/carpal tunnel surgery (I had both done the same day) since then not only didn't the surgery work but it is the cause of what I'm going through now. My doctor told me that some people develop my conditions after surgery. And I'm thinking what's the point of even trying when things like that happen. I also think that I would've been better off not having those surgeries at least I knew what to except as far as pain. With these overlapping symptoms I don't know what to expect . I'm just tired of the spikes in pain levels and the fluctuations of the different types of pain. Sometimes I know that I over do it on the medication both prescribed and over the counter and that kinda scares me but kinda doesn't. I'm in a whirl wind of pain and I just don't know what else to do. I called my doctor this morning at 7:14 and the receptionist said he or the MA would be giving me a call back to either discuss medication change or to get me in for an evaluation but it's 1:28pm and no call back yet. I don't want to be impatient and just get the quick fix by going to the ER but I really don't think I can deal with another day/night like the past 2.
Hey Pumkin, I'm sorry you're hurting so badly. Maybe when this rain front moves out it will ease up. Ive had CTS surgery on my rt hand and I still get pain at the hand wrist junction. I also have ulner nerve issues. I wear an elbow sleeve and use heat ice & ointments for it. My doc wanted to go back in and clean out scar tissue at the wrist but I said no. I just use a lot of ointment to do self-massages on it. Praying for you! 🙏🌼
Thanks FlappysLady81. I just left my doctor he changed my med to Norco 7.5 I've had this before and it worked for a while but then it stopped working so hopefully it will work this time and I can finally get some sleep. The rain here in Pensacola is supposed to carry on through the weekend.
Pumpkin85 I saw my Neuro yesterday and he did a EMG test on my left arm everything looked ok, I asked him why he thought that I am having the pain and numbness and tingling then and he said it was probably because of the Syrinx pressing on my nerves and muscles. He gave me my results from the MRI on my CS, as there was a little dilation but nothing else wrong. I for got to ask him about having a shunt put in to drain the fluid off to see if that would resolve some of my problems. I have to go back on May 1 to do my rt arm and side of neck. It started raining here in Lufkin Sunday late afternoon and is still going. They say it's supposed to be all week long. Ugh I wished it would stop for a couple of weeks to let my garden dry up so we can work in it. My joints in my rt arm are really giving me a fit. My rt had is swollen around the joints, and has a deep dull aching constantly. I hope you feel better soon.
Here in New York it was supposed to be nice and its raining here as well and it is horrible. I'm suffering with the very same issues with weather. The whole situation sucks. I hope that the Norco helps you and that you do get some rest. Never feel like youre being impatient..... If you are in horrible pain and they tell you that you are going to get a call back, you are expecting to get that call in a reasonable amount of time. I hope you feel better.
I don't know why but rain makes me really happy and sun makes me feel angry and gloomy (like other people when it rains) Today it was sunny, and I felt horrible. =( I hope everyone feels (even a little bit!) better soon. T
