Random palsy type symptoms

May 05, 2016 12:07 PM

Do any of you ever have these symptoms. If you do, I'm wondering what is causing it.
I've been sitting here since 5 am and although it's better, I'm still unsure why my hands, head and occasionally my feet twitch, jerk and shake. Called.my husband home and asked him to take me to the hospital while this is taking place, but he said their wasn't a need. My whole body is really weak, I'm afraid to walk that I might fall with no one here.

I have complex regional pain syndrome and fibromyalgia and yes I do have those symptoms sometimes the shaking of the hands the jerking of the legs. And extremely fatigued which is normal for me, most days.

Thank you for your reply, Rick
I have these spells every now and then and no one seems to know what's wrong with me! If I did this all the time, maybe I could get an answer. The repercussions can last for anywhere from a day to several. I sit here in this house alone all day with nothing going to eat or drink. I can't get up to go to the bathroom for fear of falling. I feel like such a Burdon to my husband.

Hi sleeping beauty. You aren't alone. I've been in a situation very similar. I got help through a combination of doctor, county and family resources. Try Everything. Keep Talking until someone listens. I literally got a $1 journal and wrote contacts from phone book + any others on the left, put the date on top right, then right across from contact on left, wrote result of my call on right. Early each day I did that until I got the help I needed... Not that I stopped needing help but it did get easier. Keep posting here. Where are you located? Maybe someone here can help with specific ideas.

Thanks 7autimmunes, I live in Paducah, Kentucky. I've gone to 2 neurologists here, my family dr, my rheumatologist, a fibro specialist, and two different physical therapists, with no luck so far. Everyone just keeps scratching their heads and treating symptoms. I don't know where to go from here.
I like your ideas how to log your journal. I wish I'd done that. I will start now but I'm afraid most of my Dr's think I'm just after sympathy or something.

Hey sweetie,
I've had them for a long time, since before my pain condition. For me, it is probably due to my Autism. I would bring it up with your doctor who can order tests if needed bit it may be due to medication, a neurodevelopmental disorder (such as autism) or other conditions such as mild tourettes etc.
