Rheumatoid arthritis?

May 03, 2018 11:29 AM

I have had pain in the joints of the fingers, knees, feet and elbows for almost a year now. It comes and goes. It gets worse when I get sick. Other than that I haven't found any connections.
The pain is not too bad, just annoying most of the time and I lose focus at work. I also feel tired (or am I just getting old and lazy?).
Tests show nothing, and I have taken a lot of tests including CRP and RA factor.
Anyone with experience of this? Doctors say come back if the joints get red and swollen.

Tests are not definitive. Ask for referral to good rheumatologist as you can have what they call zero negative arthritis but admittedly you will usually have positive CRP or ESR. In any event a good specialist is your best bet, pain is a signal which should not be ignored and u have multiple joint involvement. Also wonder if you have psoriasis as this can be a precursor to specific arthritis type. Best of luck๐Ÿ˜Ž

Thank you for the answer. No psoriasis or other diseases involved. I asked the doctor who said it may take years before it shows. Guess I'll just wait then... ๐Ÿ˜‹

I have rheumatoid arthritis and you will know once you get it bad you canโ€™t walk at all and your joints swell up very noticeably

I had the same joint issues almost two years, I felt always tired and pain get worse everytime I get sick, my hands were always warm, in January I had a crisis and ended up in the hospital, I had many tests including a bone marrow biopsy, the insurance company called a rheumatologist and without hesitation he diagnosed lupus, two weeks later the results confirmed it ๐Ÿ˜“
You should look for a good specialist...
