Sacroiliac iliac joint fusion recovery

May 10, 2015 4:42 AM

Anyone else had the ifuse procedure? I have had both sides fused and was wondering if I should persevere with exercise even when it gives me pain for 2-3 days after? Is it my muscles giving me the pain as I haven't used them much for a long time or am I aggravating the joint that I've had fused? I am so tired of pain and feeling like I'm not getting anywhere especially when I am trying to lose the weight I've put on for being so inactive for so long!

Simmysuz2 I know what you mean, it gets so hard not knowing if you are hurting from the injury, or surgery. The best thing is talk to your Dr.,or theripst, weather or not to take it a little easier. Just don't give up I am going to start water exercises at our local gym. Good luck.

I think this is a question for the doctor.

I forgot to say I had C S 5,6 & 7 vertabrea replaced with cadaver bones and fused, I can't do any type of exercises where there is lifting in involved. I have to do water based exercises. Hope this helped some.

I agree with Aliya... This is definitely a question for your doctor. It could go either way and without actually getting a professional opinion, you could be doing yourself more harm than good. I hope you have good luck and that you feel better soon
