I'm doing a 'blended' first aid course with the theory portion online. They list things that you should call 911 or ems for. This list includes severe headaches, pale or blue skin, shortness of breath, excessive sweating, feeling faint, and then the usual unconscious and stuff. Looking at this list and my own symptoms and stuff that has been discussed on this forum just makes me laugh. Should people be constantly calling for help for us? Currently I have very little blood flow to my appendages, they are cold and very white, I'm short of breath and I have a bad headache. According to my course, emergency medical services should be contacted because of my symptoms. My symptoms are all caused by my muscles tightening and refusing to release, wish is annoying and painful but not an emergency situation. Just thought I would share.
That made me laugh almost as hard as listening to the fire scanner some days. Some of the calls for an ambulance make me laugh only because if I called an ambulance every time I got a back ache or my ankle dislocated, or I fell three days ago, they'd have to house the ambulance at my house because they'd drop me off only to pick me back up when I got home.
Gotobef, They'd be at my door almost every day!! That was really pretty funny. I guess you have to really pick and choose. Ask things like, do you suffer migraines and chronic pain?? If the answer is yes, they can pack up and go back... LOL!!
