Scare tissue

Oct 30, 2015 4:57 AM

I was bedridden for about 3 months last fallish because of complications of having my Galbladder removed and I was wondering what scar tissue feel like in the gut/ stomach region.

Bethldschicka, mine feels like pulling against something else, like rubber bands. Can you gently knead/massage it, on & off throughout the day? It would help break it up. Hugs & prayers! 🙏🌼

Bethldchica, the incision above my belly button is still a little rubbery feeling. Had mine out in 2010. My cesarean scar from 2012 is still very rubbery and feels almost numb.

I think massaging gently or as tolerated in a circular motion is supposed to help with the scar tissue.

My eldest daughter had to have hers removed in 2011, she also had complications. I tried to get her to massage it but she said it hurt too bad. She had to have exploratory surgery a few days after her gallbladder removal. She was leaking blood. She had 63 staples from 2 incisions. She still has a lump at the end of one of the scars. And her scars feel numb she says and rubbery too.

Are you having problems with your incision? How long has it been since you had yours out?
