School Stress --- Trying to get back up on my feet

May 27, 2015 1:11 PM

I hate being sick. As in, short term illnesses like the cold/flu. I usually miss 20+ days of school per year from illness, even before the chronic pain. I'm getting close to day 10 out of school, and my dad is sick too. So he hasn't called my school, I'm still exhausted, and I know I need to at least go for a couple periods so I don't get dropped from my classes.
At 10 days (technically unexcused, hopefully they'll accept the appointment summary from Urgent Care) they can legally drop me from roll, and I'm worried. I emailed one of my teachers but haven't heard back. Confluence is in full gear, so she's probably extremely busy. The elementary kids are coming to my school to see the Carnival of Physics and The River that runs through the school.
There's only a few more weeks, but end of the year review is coming up. I'm supposed to be in a final performance next Friday, and have a bunch of catching up to do.
I want to go see my friend's Lazer Maze at Confluence tonight or tomorrow, but I know how crazy these projects are. Apparently, the district got kind of pissed that we filled one room with dirt. Oh, well. I'm just hoping the dizziness and feeling like fainting goes away by tomorrow. 10 days is too long!

Ferretbandit don't push yourself too much, or you could be out more than a day or two. Will keep you in my prayers.

Don't push yourself to much ferritbandit. i know it's difficult and worrying but you can do it and you need to put your health first. If you really need to, you can retake the year. At the moment I am struggling to push through exams and then I can rest for weeks. We're here for you
