I've been seeing a pain management Dr for a couple of years after having a cyst removed from my lower spine and having several vertebra held together with a medal plate. Been receiving spinal injections a couple of times a year to help control the pain. The last time I saw him, he told me the only option left will be to inject narcotics, going in under the end of my tailbone. I guess when I can no longer tolerate pain, I'll have to do it. Its getting closer & closer. Working is getting harder. Anyone experience this?
Mimi, The only thing I can compare it to is something they did to my sister last year. She had a total knee replacement and did very well. She said before they sedated her they injected some type of long term narcotic pain relief capsule near her knee joint. The purpose was it slowly & continuously released pain relief med around the knee. There are some nurses on here so maybe they can be more helpful. Hugs & prayers it goes very well for you and you'll be saying, "why didn't I do this sooner!" 🙂💕🙏🌼
