Sciatica with pars defect

Oct 11, 2018 8:39 PM

I’ve had several episodes of sciatica over the years but this last one hasn’t let up one iota since June 30. I finally got referred to a pain specialist who did one spinal injection, and in doing so found a pars defect on my L5. He also says I have one of the worst cases of carpal tunnel he’s ever seen. I’m trying to get these taken care of quickly; I’m currently unemployed and I’ve exceeded my out of pocket insurance limit for the year. Problem is I’m getting frustrated and exhausted from pain and can barely look for a job. Any thoughts on coping?

CTS splints &/or surgery to relieve the pressure on the nerve is very easy and helped my symptoms. I'm not familiar with the pars though. Go see an orthodontist on the CTS for help. Hugs love and prayers you get relief soon! 🙂❤🙏🌼
