Sensitivities due to Sjogrens

Sep 23, 2016 5:20 PM

So today I went to the doctor's office because I have been having some problems with cold and heat causing pain, the informed me that I am having cold and heat sensitivities brought on by the Sjogrens syndrome, this is uum..not what I had planned to top it off my menopause is in full force, I wish fall would be fall already! Maybe it won't be so bad.

Sjogrenspain77, I have been having extreme difficulty in regulating my temperature. I get really hot and sweaty and then chilled and shaking. My pain levels get higher and I, too, am in the full throws of menopause. I feel for you. Fall and Winter bring their own problems with the bitter cold and gray gloomy days. We'll get through it together, no worries... We got this!!😊💕

Thank You Alwayz, I sure need that. With stress or really messed up emotions it gets worse.

I was in Walmart today looking for line for the weedeater and they already had the Christmas stuff up! I am thinking Halloween isn't even here yet, non the less Thanksgiving! I am not ready for Christmas! I just can't do it this year! December 30th will mark one year since my Aunt's passing and I haven't even been able to bury her ashes properly, I just can't do it. I have already been seriously emotional over over it all, seeing that put me into full migraine tonight. but since I am sick I didn't have to go to concession stand duty, but I do have car wash duty tomorrow, it will take my mind off of the time of year. Hope you are doing well my friend.love you and you and your family are in my prayers! 😘🙏💖🌹🌞💐

Gentle hugs... I hope tomorrow goes well for you. Funny story - a few years back I saw some kids doing a car wash for the school band. They were at a Office Depot parking lot. So I had them wash my car. About the time they had rinsed it off after washing it a helicopter decided to land at the sporting goods store next door. Lol. By the time he landed my car was dirtier than it was to start with. Lol. Dirt and leaves sticking on the wet surfaces. I wish I could have taken a picture of everyone's faces. :) they wanted to wash it again but I just had him spray it down again.

Life is so full of silly stuff. So - learn from my experience. Never do a carwash by a helicopter landing area. ;)

But seriously - please take care of yourself tomorrow. Will keep you in my thoughts.

Am so sorry about your Aunt.

Monika, the funny thing is this car wash is for my daughter's band, we are trying to raise money to get new winter uniforms. Some of the kids will be playing their instruments and others are washing the car's. I will take care, when I get home I will be taking it easy the rest of the day.

P.S. no helicopter pad around here lol!

(wipes forhead) I was worried. At the car wash I went to they were trying to raise money to March in a parade in DC. I laughed at the parents because the kids were sitting down or standing by the road holding signs while the parents did all the work.

Hey - not sure where you live but here's a fund raising idea. Close by me is a small restaurant. Every Friday night they let different groups (like sports teams and bands) get refills and.make sure every thing was going ok. It was a small cafe in a gas station so they weren't interfering with waitresses etc. Just an idea as I know it works really great here. The customers leave tips and that money goes to whatever team is working that night.

Sjogrenspain, I'm having severe issues with overheating. I didn't even think of it being related to my sjogrens. We were out today looking at storage buildings and I got so overheated I nearly passed out. We'd stopped at a store and when we came out I told my hubby to take me home. I guzzled cold water and an ice cream, then crashed for 2 hours. We got to 96 degrees today. I'll be so glad when cooler weather comes. My hands have been hurting in my joints so I'm wondering if it will be soon.

I hope fall gets here, soon right now it's way to hot outside and couple that with menopause symptoms, I feel like I could have a heat stroke anytime, and when I come in from outside the cold hit's me and it feels like a ton of bricks hit my body. It's like my body is having a war within, I am trying to figure out a way to live with like this and honestly it's a struggle right now. I really, really need fall weather to get here and maybe it will ease up some. Hope you are feeling well today, have been praying for you my friend. Sending you support and love and ever so gentle hug's. Prayer's! 😘💖🌹💐🌈🙏

Sjogrenspain77, I'm here for you any time you need me. I actually had to go to Urgent Care this morning because I had such horrible chest pains and it was going down my arm and I was sweating like a whore in church... LOL😜😳 Anyway, y'all know about me forgetting my meds and being in a full out withdrawal crash and I have also forgotten to take my synthroid (I'm on 300mcg/day because I have no thyroid so the dose is super high). I totally fucked myself up. Thought I was coming around and then that happened and I went to urgent care and whilst on the gurney I hyperventilated and passed out (thank goodness I was on the gurney already and I didn't have to pay for anyone's hernia surgeries for getting me up.. LOL!!) I came to, they hydrated me, pumped me with IV Ativan and I had to have someone come pick me up and get my truck as well. It was all a major panic attack and there was nothing wrong with my heart or anything. The pain management doc came in and he told me to keep taking my meds and make sure not to skip ANY and that it would be a day or two and I'll be fine. Oh, the joys and adventures of life with pain...
I know how hard things have been for you this past year and I feel for you deeply. As you know this summer I had 6 funerals (2 in the last 2 weeks alone). It's not easy to move forward from such a blow and I know how very much you loved your Aunt. She is with you and knows that you are missing her. You took care of her and did everything you could to make her comfy and showed her love and compassion. You will bury her ashes when the time is right for you. There's no time limit on mourning. It's all in YOUR time and not anyone else's. Sending you lots of {{{Hugs}}} and know that everything is going to be alright. 💕🙏🏻🌻😊
