Should I or should I NOT?

Jul 14, 2016 3:03 AM

I went to the doctor and my right sciatic is so painful that my Physiatrist recommended a sterioid injection. My Neurosurgeon told me absolutely no more injections. Think it"s worth the try? This is my 3rd week it has been this bad and has not been like this for a couple years. I don't like to whine but dang.....I am tempted. Any thoughts?

Do they know what is causing the sciatica? If it's a pinched disc/nerve issue maybe they could do something to relieve the pinched pressure. My sciatica is partially caused my SI joints moving wrong. Do what ever you need to relieve the pain. Hugs love & prayers! 🙂💕🙏🌸

The only thing that concerns me is that the Neurosurgeon said absolutely not. Did they give you any reason as to why? If not, I would ask however I do agree with Flappsy that you have to do what you have to do to relieve your pain. I have the same issue but I have SI Joint disfunction so I know the cause. If you have an impingement then the injection may not be helpful. I wish you much luck and hope you find some relief soon. {{{Hugs}}}💕🙏🏻🌻

My dad had a lot of problems with this and Gabapentin helped a ton. Maybe something like that could help if you don't want any steroid injections
