Shoulder Problem

Sep 15, 2015 6:34 PM

At my new school, our day is separated into 7 Periods (which are refered to as S1,S2... or SP1, P2 etc.). Each lesson is 45 minutes. Break (20mins) is inbetween S3 and S4 and Lunch (60 mins) is inbetween S5 and S6.

In S5 ( just before lunch around 12.30) yesterday , a new symptom occurred in my shoulder. It felt like a burst and then snap sensation.

I have some infamatory shoulder conditions and this worried me slightly as it had not happened before. I couldn't write or hold my arm up when it happened and for some hours afterward.

Later I found out that because if the inflammation a cyst or sac of inflammatory fluid had built up, it had then gotten so big that it burst. The snap sensation was everything moving over to its place.

I can feel several more in there and in my other shoulder etc.

I hippie this helps someone and thanks for letting me get it off my chest

I hope it doesn't cause looking term effects. And I'm glad it wasn't a torn ligament of tension. 🙏🌼

WOW!! I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm sure it was really scary. At least the cyst burst and everything shifted back to where it belonged. It is better than having to have surgery. I hope your pain is better and that you are able to move better than before. I wish you all the best. 🙏🏻🌻

I am able to move better than before and the pain is slightly better. It is far better than surgery. I know there are probably more cysts in there though, I need them to so an ultrasound to check.
Also, this all happened a few weeks after an ultrasound, the ultrasound had a huge area of black where the radiologist had no idea what it could be so if you have an area on your ultrasound like I've described (i can describe better if neededrequested) then ask them if it could be a cyst as they could do checks and aspirate it which is far safer and less risky

Tired In pain N insane I am so glad that your shoulder is doing better. I know it must have been scary and painful at the same time. I had a ovarian cyst rupture and it was very painful when it happened but it stopped hurting. I hope that your shoulder continues to improve. Sending hugs and prayers.

I'm going to a surgeon this week to see if the lumps in my calf are cysts or what. They get larger when I'm on my feet a long time. I'm hoping they'll do an ultrasound. Thanks for the heads up! 🙏🌼

Welcome Danie79! I hope you find as much support and help as the rest of us. I've had bursitis in both shoulders & hips, and my shoulders were impinged at one point. But PT helped reset the placement of the joints. We've come to think of our community as extended family, filled with knowledge & all kinds of chronic pain issues. (((Hugs))) & prayers! 😷🙏🌼
