Feb 16, 2019 9:41 AM

This is my first time on here. I recently had my 4th shoulder surgery.. The first 3 were for a torn rotator cuff and the last one they decide to do a partial shoulder replacement. This pain is absolutely horrible. Any one have advice on getting the pain under control? They have me on oxy but not helping alot

I had a shoulder replacement a couple years ago. The pain was horrible. I slept in a recliner. Alternate heat and ice and keep up with the pain meds. Don't try to do things yourself, ask for help. Even if it is just to get out of the chair. Good luck.

My heating pad gave me more relief than pain meds. Also THC edibles and a tens maching.

I have severe nerve damage so narcotics don’t really help at all. I also used heat/ice packs And CBD oils. To help elevate the pain my Dr prescribed 2 meds that simply work together to trick my brain from feeling nerve pain as much. (I have drug allergies so I can’t take traditional meds like Lyrica). An Anti-inflammatory also really helped. I also switched from CBD oil over to RSO (Rick Simpson Oil), which is used by cancer patients or severe pain. The biggest thing is to take things easy, ask for help. When you do feel improvement don’t try to do everything in one day. It took me a long time to learn this lesson. I hope this helps. If you have any questions let me know. Good luck and be patient.
