Sick and tired

Apr 17, 2017 12:06 PM

As my title suggests I am feeling a tad low at the minute. I've spent the last 4 days in bed dozing and reading as I'm in the middle of a pain flare. I'm looking for everyone's ideas they use to make themselves feel brighter. I'm hoping there will be some ideas I can steal and cheer my mardy arse up. I've tried a pamper shower (I slipped and cut my legs shaving lol), I've tried a feel good movie and ended crying at the good bits, I've tried copious amounts of chocolate and all the usual.
I know this sounds daft but I'm just so so sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I started coloring in adult coloring book. It's relaxing. It takes my mind off of things.

I love adult colouring and when I went to hobby craft with my daughter last week they had a pack of 60 gel pens (some of the colours are double but those are the colours I use a lot anyway!) For £5 and they had this canvas picture from an adult colouring book for £5 so I got them both....well I picked 2 of the gel pen packs because Jo wanted a pack all for herself.....well we both like the same colours and I get a bit upset if the colours aren't put back right!!!!
My daughter also got a canvas picture in the same range but she got the unicorn one as she loves them at the moment.
If colouring isn't your thing then if you have a pack of cards you could play a game or two of solitaire or you could play games like that on your phone..... I have a few word games, a couple of puzzle games, suduko games and piano tiles game.
My son tries to play piano tiles on my phone because he finds it amusing that I can't beat his high scores so when he does get hold of my phone and beats my scores, I delete the game then reinstall it and all the high scores are wiped out!!! LOL
The only game I have that he can't beat my high scores on is block puzzle, he just can't seem to grasp that one at all!!!
The silly things that amuses me at times boggles my mind!!!
You could watch films or your favourite TV series depending on what DVD's you have or sky or cable, there's also YouTube.

I'm sure there's more but my fogginess doesn't want to let up lately so if I do think of more then I'll post them.

wow thank you all. I actually won an adult colouring book and pencils a few weeks ago but just shoved them in the drawer. I can't concentrate on films etc my mind wanders too much, I wish it would take me with it sometimes 😊.
I like word games, scrabble and I know it's a child's game but I love bookworms adventures, I also enjoy hidden object games. My biggest passion is reading but I'm fed up reading the same pages over and over before I can take it in.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that finds the silly things the most amusing.

Wow cinders! I thought I was the only one who had to read something over and over! I love to read too but the same thing happens to me. I've even bought the same books twice and didn't realize I had read it before until I got half way through it.

Frustrated I do that too, I either pass one on or donate the older one to the charity shops
