Sjogrens Flair

Sep 15, 2016 6:26 AM

Today marks I think 2 weeks now with a Sjogrens Flair, I have heating pads on my flairing body and resting, then I've tried my tens unit with no help. Does anyone have any ideas? It actually hurt's to walk today.

I have Fibromyalgia so I don't know what a sjogrens flare is like can you describe what happens? I am sure other people here have your condition and might have some advice!πŸ™ƒ

Basically every muscle in my body hurts, my joints are swollen and painful and feel like they are on fire and they are weak and I am tired all the time fighting fatigue. It hurts to walk because it feels like I have thousands of tiny ninjas attacking my feet with their weapons.

The only thing I can think of is an epsom salt bath.

So your sjogrens flare sounds very similar to a fibro flare! When I am in full flare I rest when I can and avoid anything that makes the pain worse! There isn't much of anything I can do to make the pain better so I concentrate on not aggravating it even more. Take More baths with epsom salts. I don't exercise as regularly as I do otherwise. That is all the advice I have! I hope you start feeling better soon!πŸ’πŸ΅πŸŒΉπŸŒ·πŸŒΈπŸ€—πŸ™ƒ

I am so very sorry to hear that you are in such a horrible state with this flare that seems to have attached itself to you. A perhaps some good music that makes you want to sing or maybe a mindless tv show for background sound that you can glance at but don't need to pay attention to... Try a warm Epsom salt bath?? I wish I was nearby, I'd come and give you a massage to help relax you. It may take me a while since I only have one hand to work with... LOL!!! I'd be willing to try for you though my friend. Gentle {{{Hugs}}} positive vibes and prayers on the way to you. πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ»πŸ˜Š

Alwayz, it sure has! It's like a dog with a favorite chew toy and an old bone and it won't let go!

Been fighting fatigue all day long and I'm having a hard time staying up. Thanks for the offer of the massage but I think I'll let you save your arm and have hubby do that.πŸ˜‰ Hopefully it will have eased up by tomorrow.

Just know that to take pain away from someone I care about, I have no problem sacrificing my own self to help. When I was away, my BFF was having a migraine and I had her sit at the table and I worked on her for almost an hour.. I was really done after that but she felt better... LOL!!πŸ’•

Sounds like something my BFF's husband did to my temple's while she was cooking dinner, off course I was sitting at the table and she suggested that he do, she said that he is like a miracle worker when it comes to it, I must say he say a soft touch lol! My husband ran to the store and got some Excedrin Migraine while my temple's were being worked over, between that the meds and Mt.Dew I was a new woman pain wise with migraine anyway lol!

Oh no, poor you! You described exactly what my sjogrens & fibro combined flares feel like. Sjogrens always involves the joints while my fibro is in the muscles. I usually use warm showers, muscle relaxers, my tramadol, and rest. Many times I get sjogrens first and within a few days the fibro joins in. But since being put on the plaquenil for sjogrens the combined flares don't usually last more than 2 weeks. Sending hugs, love, & prayers you start feeling less pain very soon dear friend! πŸ™‚πŸ’•πŸ™πŸŒΈ
