Yes I can sleep for over 12 hours and wake up absolutely exhausted. I have so much trouble getting to sleep and I could miss a full night but when I finally get over it is so hard for me to get up no matter how many hours I get I feel exhausted all the time xx
Constant, severe fatigue was one of the first symptoms I started having about 5 or 6 years ago. I've been tested for cfs three times now and the doctors say no, I don't have it, every single time. Doing even the littlest things makes it so much worse, but I've gotten to a point where I know how much or how little I can do everyday without thinking about it too much.
I did until my Fitbit showed that out of 12 hours in bed, I was getting 2 or 3 hours of sleep. Showed my doctor and got a sleep study. Hey, moderate apnea! Got a cpap a year ago, and it has helped tremendously! So I must say tell your doctor and request a sleep study. Don't just assume it's "one of the symptoms". Even if it is, this can help.
JAnnU, most nights I sleep 4-5 hours straight then wake t to change positions. Occasionally I will sleep 7-8 hours, and rarely 9-10. No matter how much I sleep I always wake tired & stay tired. I hunk it's the random wakings to get comfortable, which isn't allowing for restful sleep. 🙂💕🙏🌼
I Max out most of the time with 4 hours a night. I wake up several times. Sleeping pills done help. Acupuncture didn't help. Pain doc put me on Nortriptolin and that's helping. Can get up to 6 now after 25 years.
Nearly evary night I wake up after 6 hours sleep. I go for a wee and a drink of water try go back to sleep but all km doing is fighting it and I start getting very bad pains. I sometimes try and have a nod when my grand daughter goes for a nap. But when I can't get one I feel like a sombie for the rest of the day .I can't focus I seem to be in the clouds.
This happens to me daily... I tend to stay in bed for 12 hours as I wake up every hour or so but sometimes ... Just sometimes I sleep for 6 hours I wake up and I am still tired. My pain specialist has told me it is due to my muscles not relaxing when I sleep either... I've tried everything ... Muscle relaxants only work for a few hours so I am not rested still u might as well try a warm bath with some magnesium and burn a lavender candle or whatever scent u like to calm with... Then if u can go and buy and moisturiser or massage oil with the same scent and massage it into ur legs and feet (if u can reach) basically wherever on your body you can reach... If you can get someone else to run it into the parts you can't reach this would be very beneficial. If u can get a mist spray with the scent spray some of it on ur pillow or put a sachet of the scent inside the case.... U need to do this each night though which can be annoying for whoever is giving u a rub down... But it does help... I do it a few times a week in a way of trying not to piss off my loved ones... They think I just want a free massage!
