Sleep Paralysis

Dec 09, 2015 10:36 PM

Okay backstory,I am a 21 year old female, I have had CRPS/RSD for three years now. Two years has just been in my legs and the past year it has moved to my back, shoulders, both my arms and part of my face. I rate this pain as a 9/10 or 10/10 if I faint from the intensity. I'm usually the most positive person I know but over the past year, since it spread everywhere, I am not so positive about my life. Narcotics and regular meds like Lyrica and Gabapentin do not have any effect on me. Therefore I don't take them and just deal with the pain. Lately that has caused a ton of stress on my body and mind since we all know they're connected.
So about the sleep paralysis, I have had it about 30 times since May and I swear it feels so real since it's always the same. I begin to wake up and while I'm still asleep but feel awake I cannot move. But the catch is I can see a dark figure or figures in my room. I always try to 'shoo' them away, but they or it stays until I actually awake up fully and get the light on. I'm not an artist but I've drawn pictures of it/them and it looks like a dark figure with a large head that looks at me and tug my covers off. Weird right? I know it's just my head stressed out, but the weirdest part is that, I'm not jerking your chain, my dad actually sees spirits all the time. I'm not sure if that is what's happening or it's really sleep paralysis. Maybe this pain has finally turned me insane. I told my doctor I want to start ketamine infusions since it has gotten so bad, but he wants me to have an endoscopy since I've vomited every day this year at least once, so I'm having one next Monday. I'm wondering if y'all have ever had sleep paralysis? And what it's like for you. Thanks for reading!

I haven't had it personally, but a very good friend of mine and my husbands has sleep paralysis. He said its the most terrifying thing that happens to him. He doesn't even like to talk about it. If I remember correctly, he also sees shadowy presences.

Megablondie, I don't think you're dealing with sleep paralysis in the medical sense. I think what is happening right now is that you have a negative spirit that somehow has invaded your space and needs to be gotten rid of. I am what they call a sensitive. I can tell just walking in an area if there are spirits around and if they are good or bad. What you need to do is a sage smudging. You get a sage smudge stick, a feather and either an ashtray and seashell or even a saucer to catch the ashes. Walk around the house and in every doorway, window, etc, say these words.. "If there are any spirits here that have not crossed over or do not walk within the light of God, you must leave this place and go into the light" Let the smoke linger in doorways and Windows, etc.. When you finish, open the nearest door/window and the smoke will swirl out of the house. That should take care of the problem. I've had to do it. Sometimes it takes more than once. But if you're seeing these figures, you are not just seeing things. Let me know what happens. I'm sending you strength, positive vibes, {{Hugs}} and prayers that you get rid of these nagging spirits and then are able to have peaceful sleep and gentle, non stressful awakenings. It'll all be okay. 💕🙏🏻🌻

I also have CRPS, and our sounds like it could be a pain induced hallucination, where the pain becomes an actual person, something to fight.
If you can try Ketamine, go for it! Also, have you tried DMSO?
I've found that a combo of kava kava root and Magnolia bark extract have stopped hallucinations
