Sleepless in SC

Nov 18, 2014 1:26 AM

Can't possibly sleep with all the shooting pain going thru my back and shoulders which is leading to high anxiety thinking about what all I am suppose to do tomorrow. My anxiety disorder is in high gear. This fibro is without a doubt gotten worse. I had high hopes that it would not. Wish there was a cure...or something.

:-( I'm awake also because of pain. Try different positions (which I'm sure you have), recliner? Shower may relax you? Calming music? Ice or heat? I hope you feel better & are able able to get some sleep soon. Hope and pray all goes well tomorrow.

That's why I love this site. Sometimes all it takes is a caring word. Thanks kevmar. I hope and pray the same for you!

I, too, am sleepless. Mine is due to the pain from 2 failed lumbar fusions (October, 2006 and April, 2007), neck pain (stress), fibro and a new development of pain in my pinky toes (both feet--neuropathy maybe). I've had insomnia for 17 years. I've tried all kinds of things to help with the insomnia but only get minor help. My pain meds work well for the most part but due to the fact it's 20° outside, my pain levels stay high. I hope you get some relief and rest soon!

Thank you Blessed! Like Sherri especially said...I think this cold weather is a contributing factor. Stay warm you guys.

I'm headed to bed now and am laying beneath a flat sheet and 2 comforters. I just put on 2 Lidoderm patches and should start feeling some relief soon. Please rest well, try to stay warm and I will keep you both in my thoughts for a relatively pain free evening so you can sleep.
