snap! crackle! pop!

Jul 17, 2015 11:06 AM

So, I'm wondering if anyone else hears/feels their joints popping? I get it constantly as soon as I move any part of my body, to the point that my wife calls me Snap Crackle and Pops Alot! 😂

From my neck to my ankles, love. All the time. All I have to do is move, stand up, close my fist, bend over, walk... I'm a human noisemaker... LOL!!! 😳

I'm with Alwayzinpain. Almost every time I move and almost every joint I move. Ever since I was a teenager I, and my family, have said I was a "bowl of Rice Crispies." LOL

Absolutely! And sometimes, given my pelvic floor issues it's sometimes "Snap, Crackle, Pop...Toot!" For two solid years I couldn't pass gas and barely had 3 BMs a week. When they removed the mass from my abdomen, following pelvic floor therapy, it was like "plop,plop,fizz,fizz...oh WHAT a relief it is!". 🙏🌼

Every time i move it's snap, crackle and pop. It's so loud that it scares people around me

Same here. Human noise maker. Through in the occasional snap, crackle, pop, Owwww!

Me too!! I do a lot of bending in work, and each time I get up my one knee is very noisy! Makes people grimace :(
My feet have always clicked, and my wrists, back, hips and neck.

Oh and almost forgot - my jaw! Especially when I eat something chewy

Omg, Sarahjane, my TMJ causes my jaws to pop and its awful sounding. Even though I pop and cream all over, the only two painful areas are my left OA one and my SI joints. 🙏🌼

Lol wow, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one! If it's really loud, it freaks out my wife, which gives me something to laugh about! One time, she was massaging my shoulders and she felt it as well as heard it. I couldn't stop laughing for 2 hours! Her face was priceless! 😂

That look someone gets when they feel one of my joints pop, it's priceless! It's even funnier when it's a nurse that feels it for the first time...

I make creaking sounds in my joints, but it's not actual piping and several docs told me to stop and it might be making things worse =( I feel better after each pop though.

I went to a chiropractor for years and I feel this is natural. The popping is air in the joints and it's your body realigning itself.

That happened to the tech helping me in the CT Scan. When I had to put my arms up oven my head I told her I needed help. She did. When we were done my left shoulder got stuck and when she was helping me she felt it pop and heard a loud crack.. She screeched and dropped my arm!! When I was done writhing I started to laugh because she was still horrified!! LOL!!!

I'm crunchy all over especially my neck :( I wonder if/worry that chiro adjustments from years past isn't the cause sometimes. Just these last few months I'm much crunchier and it does scare me even tho I'm told it doesn't mean anything. I think it means something cause it all hurts. Some of it may not mean anything but some of it may mean something. Thank you fellow rice crispies.

Jul 19, 2015 7:49 PM

Well, it DOES mean something. It means that the bones are hitting up against one another and grinding because of bone spurs, calcium buildup, arthritis, etc.. It does hurt horribly. The weather has me in such a state that I am aware of each and every joint in my body and my pain levels are up. I have pain management in the morning and am not looking forward to it.. I hate going to ANY doctor but this is just so depressing to me and the waiting and then moving me around and measuring loss of motion, etc. causes me to leave with more pain than I went in with. Hang in there... There's a bunch of us crispy critters here... LOL!! 💕😊

I sure feel like a "crispy critter" today! I had to give in and take a pain pill. Here's hoping it doesn't effect me like it did last time I took one. :) I can relate to the bone spurs everywhere too! The spurs in my heels have gotten so large they have turned and started growing towards my toes! I can say that, for me anyway, after they turned they stopped hurting quite so much! I can walk without the spurs putting me in tears, now it's my ankle, knee, and hip that does it. LOL
