So much in 3 months

Jan 02, 2016 1:32 PM

Hello wonderful pain family!
I took a bit of a a step back during the holidays so it feels like I've missed a lot of here and looking forward to catching up to everyone. I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas and a happy new year!
I've had some pretty substantial changes in the last three months, I left a bad relationship and started taking Lyrica to help manage the pain. Before I choose to leave I had lost considerable amount of weight, threw up constantly due to stress/anxiety, was barely able to eat because of the constant sick and shaky feeling and had daily pain usually hovered between an 8 and 11 to point that at 20 years old I had to go on medical leave. Since I have moved I have gained healthy weight, have no self control when it comes to food and start my first shift back to work on Monday :)
I'm excited but also very nervous, I don't know how to expect my body to be, I know it will be hard at first but for once I just really want it to be easy. Short shifts at first to help me ease back into it.
This year I decided to make a promise instead of a resolution. My promise is to love myself, to care for and protect me and to have that love for myself come through and love others just as much
Sending positive thoughts to you all :)

Birdiebabe, this is great news! I'm sorry you had to go through that with that guy, but I'm the end it's been worth it. I'll be praying that 2016 will be a great year for the new-found you, and that you'll find ways to adjust in your job so it doesn't take such a tremendous toll on your health issues. You can do this because we've got your back!! (((Hugs))) & prayers 😷🙏🌼

Thank you everyone for your well wishes :) I'm very tired after these first two days and have a shift coming up tonight but so far so good. I had a CT Scan today so I should be able to get the results in 3-5 days time
