So nauseous

Jun 23, 2016 5:50 PM

As some of you know recently I had acute pancreatitis. Today for no reason I am so nauseous. I keep getting scared that the pancreatitis is coming back. Why am I so scared? I guess that's a dumb question but I wish I didn't feel this way.

I had issues with my pancreas and gallbladder years ago that hospitalized me three times in 6 months. The nausea was a nightmare. Are you having pain? Pancreatitis takes a bit to completely heal so the nausea is coming from that. Are you eating and keeping hydrated? I know when you have nausea you don't want to but you have to. I hope you feel better soon and the nausea dissipates. When I feel like that, I get nervous as well and that makes the nausea worse. Hang in there. Sending you gentle {{{Hugs}}} and prayers to feel better soon. 💕🙏🏻🌻😊

Praying for you Hun, stick to baked chicken breast that should help with the fat intake and should help you with the nausea.

I'm drinking lots of water but don't have the stomach to eat. I had soup this morning but nothing else. Thank you all for the prayers and advice. I am so glad I found this app, I really have no one to talk to comfortably. I just feel like I wear my family out with my issues 😞

If you can't eat, try sipping soup broth, Popsicles, Gatorade/Powerade, and gingerale (open & let carbonation fizzle out). Hugs & prayers you feel better soon! 🙂💕🙏🌼

My doc would say clear liquids, tea & crackers. Just like Flappys said. I hope you feel better tomorrow.

Vizallygirl you may want to try some Saltine crackers or toast. It is easier on the stomach and at least puts something light in your tummy to stop the overproduction of acid from being empty. Also, Flappsy is spot on with the ginger ale. It's an old remedy but it works! {{{Hugs}}}💕🙏🏻🌻😊

What about seltzer water or tonic water with a little bit of bitters and a twist of lime. Seems to work everytime.
