Pain 24 I am sorry that you have been in pain for the last 3 days. My Neuro put me on CQ10 3 x day about 3 yrs ago and it has helped me , I rarely have migraines anymore and if I do it doesn't last very long. I hope this helps.
Pain24, is this a change in your usual migraines? If so you need to be reevaluated. Go to the ER if it's not improving. I've only had to go 3-4 times in 5-10 years, and they always give me a shot. It works quickly. Praying for you. 🙏🌼
AlwayZ, it's two ingredients. One is Toradol, and it burns like crap! The other med is something to relax me, but I can't remember the name. It works every time. Maybe because I have tense muscles all in my neck shoulders & upper back, like now. If I don't get this calmed down I'll have a migraine by morning... Just from the ride to my dad's. 🙏🌼
I really hate migraines. I don't get them that often, but they're basically my definition of extreme pain. So far, only Codeine or Kratom can calm them down, but I can't take those meds anymore. So I guess a beer will just have to do lol. I'm having one that's fading, caused by way to much perfume at the site when my dad and I went to buy an air conditioner. I hope something can help you!
Dee6569, I sometimes get a numb and tingling feeling in and around my left eye & cheek with migraines. The numbness started after I fell and hit my head; it hit, bounced and hit again, in 1997 or 1998. They diagnosed the numbness in my face as trigeminal neuralgia. My migraines started after my second neck surgery on 1995. The two merged only about 4-5 years ago, and each time they're together I notice the trigeminal neuralgia about 2-4 hours before the migraine hits, like an aura. 🙏🌼
Flappy lady 81 this first time it's even done that to my face and my fibromyalgia has got where it's hard to walk and at nite I can't comfort to go to sleep sometimes and also can't tell the different between the lupus flare and the fibromyalgia flare its started to drive me crazy
Dee6569 I get pain on the right side kind of like that. It doesn't go numb but I get the sensation of swelling. Mine is usually caused by something aggrivating my facial nerve. Usually muscle spasms that start in my neck and go up into my jaw. I'm told it's also part of tmj
Dee6569, I understand being hard to tell if it's fibro or lupus. I have the same problem sometimes, but instead of lupus it's sjogrens, and hypothyroidism shares some of the same symptoms as both of them. It's very distressing, but know that you aren't alone, you have us all to help you get through. What Gotobef said about the nerve irritation is likely what causes my trigeminal neuralgia. And sometimes it does involve my tm joints too.
I don't think there's ever going to be a way of stopping these issues from progressing. Will we can do is try treatments for comfort, and help each other. Have you tried using those eye gel packs that can be heated of cooled? I sometimes use mine if I feel the headaches is in our behind my eyes. I also have a bread followed shoulder pad that stays in the freezer, but can be microwaved for heart use. I put the center on top of my head, letting it despite over my forehead and eyes, then I wrap the long ends over my ears and under my chin. I clamp it closed with a potato chip bagclamp or a hairclamp. If I'm stuffed up in my sinuses I such on a peppermint candy. Sometimes my migraines affect my teeth and sinuses. I have gone to the ER several times in 15 years to get injection of Tramadol & something else, but only when it's been days of suffering and my Rx meds don't work. The last time that happened I had painted with my husband, which being over my head I should have known better, especially since I've had 2 neck cushions (4 discs). I opted you get some relief soon. I'm praying so! 🙏🌼
Put your feet in tub with hottest water you can stand and ice your head. Try Goodies headache powder with a sinus/allergy med. Believe me, I try it all when I get a migraine. I get so desperate, hate it!!!! Good luck
