so surgery

May 13, 2016 7:02 PM

wrist fusion surgery is possible in the next two months. I had an appointment with an orthopedic doctor yesterday and was told I don't have many options.

I could choose to ignore it, get steroid injections, or get wrist fusion. I could've had ligament reconstruction, but since my connective tissue is bad /everywhere/, I can't do that.

I really don't want to have regular steroid injections lol. I had one yesterday and oh my gOD the kind of pain I was in was terrible.

I was told the cure (wrist fusion) might be worse than what I already have, so I really don't know what to do. I mean it's only being talked about because I don't have pain free days anymore.

I go back in June to see what else can be done. I dunno what to do, lol.

Lynxbun, I can't say which would be best. I'm in the same boat of whether or not to have my SI joints fused. You'll know the decision is the right one for you when you have peace about it, no longer worrying which is right or wrong. Hugs & prayers! 🙂💕🙏🌼

I've been thinking about it. Maybe I will get it done.

It's to the point where holding a can of cat food hurts. I don't care if I have less mobility in it, if it stops the pain then I'm all for it. It's stupid how weak and useless this hand as gotten.

lol can you believe it's already almost June?

I wish you the best results, with rehab to help after. Hugs & prayers! 🙂💕🙏🌼

It's surprising how pain can get to you more than mobility issues. We can work around those but pain really drags you down. Luv n hugs x
