Somebody is FINALLY listening to me.

Sep 09, 2015 7:42 PM

So pelvic pain has been going off and on since March. Been to my surgeon, my PCP, my gyn(multiple times) all with the same issue. It was just beginning to drive me absolutely crazy. PCP said the first time I called to make an appointment that ultrasound was negative, follow with gyn. Just recently pain has gotten so bad that it was keeping me awake, etc. Went to PCP today and it was a completely different story. They are finally listening. Regular abdominal x-ray tomorrow to look for scaring, hernias, etc. Doing a urine to look for blood/protein and r/o kidney stones. Go back on Monday to hear the verdict. Next step after that would be a total abdominal ultrasound to look for any other issues. I'm feeling relieved and grateful for this tonight. Tired of being in chronic pain and not know why. I asked her, " so your sure it's not all in my head, correct?" She said, "No, it's not in your head. I believe you."

I REALLY hope they find a cause (and can treat) for what's wrong with you. I had this same problem when I was a teenager. They never truly fixed it, so I pray this is not the case with you. At least someone believes you. All my drs really didn't believe me.

Amanda, I am so very glad that the doctor is finally listening!! Now that they are moving forward and going the extra distance to find a problem, I hope they are able to give you a diagnosis and that there is a reasonable treatment for you and you begin the road to some pain relief and getting your life back. πŸ’•πŸ˜ŠπŸŒ»

Alwayz, she did also say this might be referred pain from my back which would make sense already. I'm also thinking that somebody may have gotten close to an answer yesterday. I'm wondering if this could also be scaring from my tubes being tied. Kind of frustrating.

It is frustrating but it sounds like you're close to getting an answer. I hope you do and they are able to calm your pain.

I hope so too. In more pain now after the X-ray probably because of positioning. I'm just going to push through it but not overdo it!

That's a good idea. Hang in there and {{{{{Hugs}}}}} to help you through❀️

Okay, so heard back from the radiologists. X-ray looks good. No evidence of hernia or bowel obstruction.
