Something more.... always it seems... :(

Brief history for those who don't know me, forget easily or have fibro fog:
Dx - Chronic Migraines (Feb 2016); Peripheral Neuropathy, small fiber neuropathy (Mar 2016) w/ bilateral ulnar nerve (July 2016); Pelvic Floor Dysfunction (2013); Irritable Bowel (2008)

Okay so my migraines were under control again and came back full force Monday (5). I had this weird pain go shooting up my left arm into my chest last Tuesday (30). It only last 5 minutes and then went away completely. Since then 4-5 times a day I get these weird super hard pressing feeling in my chest on the left middle side. I went to my family doctor on Thursday afternoon. She ran blood work, did an ecg and chest xray. My d-dimers were up and given the swelling in my arm before she was concerned about a pulmonary embolism. Thank God I didn't know how serious it was before it all went down or I would have panicked.

I was rushed by ambulance to the closest city for a scan. They did a Vq scan rather than ct because they couldn't get an iv in a larger vein. My arm looks like I have track marks.

It turned out to be nothing. Well, not nothing, but certainly nothing serious. They figure it can be either my GERD and my esophagus is pushing on something or my chest wall muscles are sore and tighten when I moved (or don't) since I can't figure out triggers.

I have to admit to you all that it's all so frustrating. I get so fed up with the medical system. I was told by numerous doctors that it was silly I waited to come in. Then I waited and it was nothing anyways. Ugh.

You did right to see ur physician & go to hospital. What if it was embolism? Could have turned out way different. So glad you know. Take care of u hope u can tame the migraine.💗

I'm so glad it wasn't an embolism or your heart. Before my hiatal hernia repair with fundoplication in May, I was having sharp chest pains several times a month. Several docs were concerned it was great related but all tests kept getting practically normal. When I saw the GI surgeon he informed me that the hiatal hernia, esophageal stricture & Barrett's Esophagus erosion could mimic heart issues. Since my surgery I've not had anymore GERD or chest pain symptoms. Hugs love & prayers you'll get answers spoon and they will not be serious! 🙂💕🙏🌸
