Sooooo 😪 tired 😴

May 03, 2015 3:19 PM

I've tried going out to run errands three days with my hubby. The last two times I actually used motorized carts. I'm so exhausted each time. Today we had to come home before we finished. I'm sitting down and failing asleep, for hours! Pure fatigue... 😴

I went and got groceries yesterday then had a sleep study last night. Thought I had slept better then I had in over a week. Must not have been the case. I have been so drained and irritable all day. Hope you can get the rest you need.

You too JayS! I think I may be in a flare up, but it caught me of guard and kicking me down.🙏🌼

Flappsy and JayS77 I am so sorry that y'all are having such a hard time. I too have been having a hard time I had forgotten how time consuming having a baby in the house is. It seems like I am going constantly if not helping care for the baby, doing laundry my dryer isn't hooked up yet so I am having to hang them out on the line. I went an had a EMG on my rt arm and hand where I ha e been having the worst pain and the nerves are fine he thinks it's the Syrinx pressing on the nerve and muscles in it. I am going to talk to him about having a shunt put in to keep it drained off. He told me to take it easy I looked at him and agreed to but where can I slow down. My daughter can't tote a basket full of wet clothes.out to the clothes line she would pop all of her stiches.

May 03, 2015 9:22 PM

Oops I accidentally hit the wrong button. I told her that I would give her a month of help then I would be her back if she needed help. Sorry for the rant Hope y'all all have a good night

How strange, Flappsy... Since Monday, I have been so exhausted that all I have done is doze off and wake up all day and night. I think I have gotten more sleep this week intermittently than I have gotten in the last year. I don't know what is causing it but, like you said, it is pure exhaustion. It is just one more thing we have to deal with considering the energy pain drains from your body. My advice is, just go with it.. Relax and when your eyes start to close, just let them and catch as much sleep as you can. I hope everyone is feeling good and that you had a peaceful Sunday. I hope you all sleep well tonight and rest well.... I will catch up with all of you tomorrow. Sweet Dreams, All.

How are your thyroid levels? They should be checking them every couple weeks until the levothyroxine dose is set.
That kind of fatigue was one of my biggest symptoms.

Weezie, don't let yourself get exhausted and sick. What's the baby's dad doing to help? And your daughter can load/unload one item at a time. My daughter did after her c-section, and I did after my "T" cut (x2 surgeries). I know you are trying to help her (I did mine) but don't injure yourself doing so. You get some rest too. ☺

AlwayZ, I have just been doing exactly as you said. After a long errand yesterday I told my hubby I couldn't do the second one so we came home. I went to sleep and he watched NASCAR. I slept right through it, in the same room!

Aliya, I'm not scheduled for a follow up for another 2 weeks. I hadn't thought about it but you may be right. She had her nurse call me because my iron is also low.

Thanks everyone! And I hope y'all enjoyed the weekend!🙏🌼

Flappsy I know I have to slow down or I'm not going to be good in case of emergency. I haven't done anything today except help with the baby. We had to take her to the Dr and found out she is allergic to her baby bath and lotion.

May 04, 2015 7:02 PM

Oh wow. What brand? The reason I ask is that when my granddaughter lived with us she would fuss when we would put lotion on her. She couldn't talk yet but knew a few words like "no" & "boo boo." We live in a 30+ yr old ranch with all original tiles; mustard gold, aqua blue, olive green. Needless to say we saw just how age strained the gold tiles were.

One day while cleaning the hall bath I asked, "Who spoiled bleach on the tile floor?" My youngest said, "Nobody. Mommy spilled the baby's lotion bottle and that's what happened." Immediately I go, "No sang wonder she's fussing when we put I her... If it's doing that to the floor just imagine what her skin feels like!". To prove my suspicion I poured about a cup onto my floor and spread it with my cleaning brush. Fifteen minutes later I had the brightest " like-new" tile in my hall bath! I had taken photos of the before & after... Major bright difference! I called the company and talked to someone and they asked me to send them a photo. They called right back and asked for the SKU# & date, then asked me to mail the remainder to them so they could test for mixture issues. I did so, but I never bought another baby product from them again, not for my grandbaby or baby gifts. I was told to sue them but she wasn't hurt and it didn't seem right to me... It wasn't intentional or neglectful, just an accident. She did grow up to have skin sensitivity and allergies too.

Flappsy I belive the bath soap was baby magic, and the lotion was Johnson and Johnson hypoallergenic oatmeal with vanilla. Her PA told me to buy baby Eurcine lotion and bath soap. I got some and gave her her bedtime bath I could feel a difference in the texture of her skin as I rinsed her off. The lotion really left her feeling moisturized than the other stuff I'd been using on her. Her skin always felt so dry no matter how much lotion I put on her. I hope this works

Oops She had gained 2 oz on her 1 week check up, we had to carry her back the next day because she was sneezing and coughing and she had lost 2 oz's. Today she had to go back because her older sister visited her yesterday and got up with fever she went to the Dr ad she has strepthroat. My daughter panicked and called the Dr so I carried her up there and asked the PA if someone didn't have fever were they contagious and she said no. I didn't think that they would be but it was a good thing we took her because we found out that she was allergic to the bath soap and lotion. I apologize if I am rambling. Any way she had gained 1 oz back so the PA said to feed her every two hrs round the clock. We are hoping she will start gaining weight. My neice told me that when her grandson was born to put 1 tsp of ceral b in his bottle and give it to him. So I 'm doing that in the hopes she will start gaing.

I saw my rheumy doc last week as a follow up on the lip biopsy. I told her I'm napping 2-4 hours at the drop off a hat, especially following activity like driving to appts & grocery shopping, and sometimes for no reason at all. She said it's a combination of the hypothyroidism, fibromyalgia, & Sjogrens. Huh? I thought that Sjogrens was just dry mouth, eyes & nose? Not! She educated me some on all the bad effects of sjogrens. I must have yearly checks on my eyes, lungs, kidneys/bladder, heart, and neurological (esp in light of already having dementia and neuropathies). Surprisingly she said my tremors may not be MS, but could be from sjogrens damage to my Central &/or Peripheral nervous systems. Say what! So I get a triple whammy of fatigue causes, and all my docs must now watch for various organ damage? I never knew Sjogrens could cause so much trouble. Oh, she also said I'm likely to get another autoimmune issue. Whoopee! 😟

Now my sarcasm aside, I searched it and she right. I may have CNS/PNS damage causing my right side weakness and tremors, and dementia. I came across a Johns Hopkins hospital article that described the difference in the spinal fluid findings, between MS v/s Sjogrens caused CNS damage (S-CNS). My results showed zero oligoclonal bands which MS generally has more than 2, but zero is normal in S-CNS. I have to have a mapping of the back of my eyes, to check for damage. If cleared, she will be starting me on Plaquenil. One more medicine to keep up with... Thank goodness for Dosecast! 🙏🌼

FlappsyLady, first, I'd like to say that i am glad to see you back on... I have missed you and think of you often. I am sorry that you have gotten yet another blow to your health with all that information the doctor gave to you. However, on the bright side, at least you have a more definitive diagnosis and know a bit more of what you are dealing with. I know how hard it is when you have to keep going from doctor to doctor to doctor and each one is telling you something else and giving you different medications, etc. Also having to keep up on checking your eyes, lungs, heart, kidneys, etc... You are in my thoughts and prayers and i hope that you get this all sorted out in the most reasonable and simple way to deal and cope with them. Be well, have a peaceful night and I hope that you rest and have less pain, tremors, etc...

Thank you AlwayZ! I used voltaren gel from my hips down my calves last night and took a muscle relaxer. I slept better than the past few night and don't feel quite as bad today. But I've noticed when I do anything it wipes me out and makes me hurt; making my meal, folding my laundry, walking to mailbox (up/down driveway), sheet & grooming, etc. I have to rest twice as long as the activity took to recoup. 🙏🌼
