I haven't been on in over a week.. I've been extremely busy at work, but we made goal and I will be getting a bonus for the second month in a row, so that tales some of the sting out lol I have been running non stop and now I'm dealing with some major pain and flare symptoms again..the worst of which is major neck pain that is making it painful to move my neck side to side and I can't sleep because of it.. I've tried heat muscle relaxers pain meds and my husband hasbeesn rubbing my neck almost every night.. This is driving me crazy ugh if anyone has any other ideas I'm wide open 😑

Moparmom I am sorry you're in such pain. Congrats on your bonus, way to go!!! I don't know if you are sensitive to cold but you can try icing it. That may cause spasms. Put a washcloth in the microwave and then put it in a plastic bag.. Not hot, just a bit over warm. Put it on the areas that are hurting, it helps relax the area. You can do this in conjunction with a muscle relaxer. Also, if you lay on your back, I have found that (when I can lay down) of input my head in the position they use on the operating table, you're spine is aligned and your breathing comes easier. Sometimes I'll just lay flat with no pillow. Try a warm to semi hot shower before bed or a bath and relax in the tub. Have your hubby rub some icy hot, biofreeze or tiger balm on your neck. I know they stink but if they work it's worth it. I wish I had more suggestions for you, that's all I've got right now. Oh, don't sleep on your belly because then you have to turn your head to one side and there is tremendous pressure on your neck. Let me know if any of these help you. Sending you love, gentle {{{Hugs}}} and prayers that you get some relief. 💕🙏🏻🌻

Trick i learned from PT years and years ago....Lay on your back, no pillow and roll a towel and put it in the curve of your neck, just enough to fill in the curve. This takes the pressure off your neck muscles having to support your neck and head and aligns your spine properly. If you can sleep like that even better. I am thinking you could combine alwayz suggestion and have it cold or hot which ever works for you. Hope you find some relief.

Moparmom, I'm so happy for you about the bonus! AlwayZ covered most of my ways of treating. And Shammagren is on point... I've done this many times using a hand towel. But once I needed heart so i microwaved my rice-filled, knotted tube sock, and i placed it under my neck while i laid down; it works chilled in the freezer too. The one thing I do in the very warm but not hot shower is to turn my neck in the direction of pain and hold it there for 2 minutes. Only then to the point of discomfort, not pain. I've also done this with muscle spasms in my back. It helps stretch and relax the right muscles. I oppose it lets up for you very soon. (((Hugs))) & prayers it will! 🙏🌼
