Spinal cord stimular

Feb 18, 2016 7:54 PM

Hi guys, needing advice have been told by doctors that i require a spinal cord stimulator for CRPS in left foot/leg and am a bit apprehensive. Has anyone got one? Tried one? Do you think it has helped? Any info you guys can supply would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I got one for my legs last year and it really helped the pain a lot! I could walk more and with less of a limp with it up high enough. I'm getting another one for my back and arms next month!

The trail hurt more than the surgery. My recovery was around 4 months.

I just had mine implanted in Nov. they did cervical for my arms and thoracic for my legs at the same time. Cervical was much worse!! I'm having to have that one redone in March because I pulled the paddle out of my spine. Recovery is tough. Rest as much as you can for as long as you can! At least 8-9 wks of no bending, twisting, lifting, etc. I hope it works for you!

I had mine done in December 2014, it helps a lot but when I flare up no matter what I try nothing helps. Not even the stim.
My crps is on my left foot, so they had to go into my spine, that has left me with a lot of back pain issues. I hear there is a laizic one, I had the ordinary surgery.
Good luck
