Groggy, there are many here who have had implants. I can't remember names, but AlwayZinpain is one of them. She's not been on much lately due to circumstances she's dealing with. I'm sure when she comes back she will respond. You can search for topics on"nerve stimulator implants" and pull up previous conversations too. I've not had any, but the the way I scar internally I'm not sure I want one if given the option. Hugs & prayers you can find answers you need to make your decision! 🙂💕🙏🌼

Groggy, hi, I'm sorry I'm just getting to your post. Flappsy is right, I do have a spinal stimulator. I have had it for many years and it is implanted at my brain stem and C1. I had to have revisions and replacements done 5 times due to lead migration or failure. However, when they had it working it DID help with my pain. Unfortunately, a few years back I fell down the stairs and broke my arm and fractured my neck when my head hit the door. So now I have a useless stimulator and they can't take it out because it's so scarred in that they are worried about paralyzing me. I hope that your implantation goes well. I won't lie to you, it's a painful process but worth it in the end. If you have any questions just let me know. Sending gentle {{{Hugs}}} and prayers for a successful outcome.💕🙏🏻🌻😊

Thanks for the info and I'm so sorry for all of us that has everyday chronic pain. I too was told that I might be a candidate for the stimulator, but I told my neurosurgeon that I want to exhaust all other options first. I just had bilateral SI Joint inj in my low back, but it really didn't work for my sciatica in my left leg. I had spinal fusion in 09, but it left me with fibro and I can't stand the pain anymore. I feel like every doctor is pushing me onto another, nobody want to try to fix me.
