Square One

Allergies are really bad. I'm so itchy. Also frustrated because yesterday the older neurologist came in, messed with my hand, and he didn't even see the worst of it. I went to the bathroom, biting my tongue and running water over the rash on my arm. It hurt so bad I was crying but he didn't see that. Go figure. He seemed to think that since he couldn't tell it was there, it wasn't CRPS. That's fine, he can check for other things that are wrong. I know I have extreme allergies, chemical/fragrance sensitivity (that's why his hand sanitizer gave me a rash), ADHD, asthma, likely POTS and absent seizures, chronic dehydration and sinusitis, and other stuff that I don't know about. I am also getting treatment for migraines I've always just clumped with my tooth issues. I guess it's separate. But hey, I'm not dying and can continue life as a human science experiment. I just keep hoping to be able to have a diagnosis so I have a name to tell other people. My dad suggested I just make one up. It's not like any other people in my life have heard of CRPS, RSD, POTS, MTHFR gene mutations, anyway. So I'm thinking of creating a new one as a creative writing sample, hahaha.

So I think you are an awesome young lady wise beyond your yesrs. I truly wish you could just be carefree and a normal teenager. I love when doctors say well you have idiopathic blah blah. Idiopathic because they don't know. So my go to sarcasm for doctors is : I D ten T. Go write it all together and then laugh. Write the ten as 10 you will see the message. Sarcasm served up. Hope you at least get a little endorphin bump and laugh.

Ferretbandit I am so sorry about your disappointment with your Dr.s visit yesterday. Hopefully you can see the other Dr and get some help.

Ferretbandit stay strong and don't give up. I'm sorry for the added frustration. As LMB said, you are wise, and you will eventually get answers. Keeping you in my prayers. 🙏🌼

LMB...love the ID ten T! 😄. It suits them all. Lol 🙏🌼

I totally identify. Every time I think about the MTHFR gene, I always think of it as the MTHRF*R gene, if you catch my drift. Lol Just thought I'd throw that thought out there. Hope I didn't offend anyone! 😅 Thanks MTHRFR gene!

Ferretbandit, I agree that you are wise beyond your years. You should be having the time of your life right now, having a carefree and wonderful life and enjoying your youth.. You have such a fantastic attitude for someone so young and suffering the pain that you have been dealt. Hang in there, with medical breakthroughs happening all the time, hopefully someone will come up with something that will help all of our pain and also come up with a name to put to the problems you are having. I will keep you in my prayers.
LMB.... That ID ten T is absolutely hysterical and gave me a really good laugh, I agree with Flappsy, it certainly does suit them all.
