Great news! It is like a huge boulder off your shoulders and you can get insurance. I had to fight for almost 3 years before I saw a judge and finally won my case. After all that they screwed up my ability to purchase part B and c insurance that took about 6 or 7 months. Hope everything is smooth sailing for you. If you need any help with anything picking plans ect just pm me. I am happy to help and congratulations.

Washington state: Originally filed august 26, 2014. My hearing was Jan 4, 2017 and March 8 I was approved. My attorney said there is no rhymn or reason to length of time to find out. He said some get a back pay check first then the award notice or vice versa and so on.

I just went for my hearing yesterday, after 4+ long years waiting! NJ doesn't have enough Judges and has to rely on out of state ones to help out...which in turn makes everything backed up.
I think the waiting period is the absolute worst! How long does it usually take to get your approval letter? And what happens if you get denied...can you request another hearing with a different judge?! Just trying to think ahead. Super anxious here...

It varies when you get letter. You can always appeal.

Leo66 that's great news!! Congrats.. that's always a load off the mind when you know you're finally approved. I wish everyone here that's been waiting would get their approvals as well. There's no reason to be denied.. it's YOUR money!! I don't get what the government doesn't understand about that. (They want to keep it so that THEY can use it without your permission). The whole thing suck.. anyone waiting for their approval I send positive vibes and well wishes that you're approved soon. {{Hugs}}💕
