Standing in line??

Oct 05, 2016 3:06 PM

Hi everyone, hope your pain day is low. While we all have to do life in our every day world with chores, doc appts. shopping for food, picking up prescriptions, other appointments not to mention supporting our family in their various endeavors.
How do you deal with getting stuck standing in line? I had about 30 minutes to kill before my doc appt. so went to local produce outlet. I can't walk very far unaided, but the place isn't large & I parked right in front, but when I wanted to check out the line got longer & longer with people in groups. I started hurting bad & getting lightheaded with nausea. It got worse. Dropped fruits on counter. Started sweating & vision narrowing. Barely made it to car. I was in bad shape by time I got to doc office. We talked, he checked me & doubled my medication. If anyone has tips on waiting please share. Thanks

I always get a cart. Then i have something to lean on.
Sometimes if you ask and it's obvious you are not ok people will let you go ahead of them. I've always been too afraid to ask but I've seen others do it.

I'm sorry this happened to you and I know how you feel. Most times I've had to start always taking my cane and if the store has a wheelchair I use it even of it just for a quick pick up because life still happens and you never know when a tour bus is gonna jump in front of you. It's like a better safe then sorry mind set. How do u feel now? Have you started your uped dose yet?

Im sorry you had to go through that. I completely relate, that's happened to me once or twice. Also repeating newfibrogirls questions and if you have started taking the new dose how is it effecting you?@newfibrogirl its cool your local store has a wheelchair

That sucks!!! The only thibg I would say is don't wait in line.. LOL!! (No really). If you see the line growing and you're just blowing time, leave and come back on the way home or just leave. I can't stand on line either unless I have a wagon to push so I can lean on it. OR, not have a cart but not have to hold anything in my hands while I wait. Hope you're feeling better

Thanx everyone. I know you are experiencing the same kinds of challenges. As I was reading it came to me that I could have just left the stuff & gone to my car. Doh! It might be terribly rude, but so is passing out on concrete floor. I think the moment stole away my choice.
I am starting out slowly moving toward the full double dosage of meds. I guess I feel better now, but I have to even plan ahead for a small excursion like the
produce outlet. I find that to be another loss.

Don't think of it as a loss Sweetie.. everything you do (no matter how small or insignificant it may seem) is a victory!! There is always something that is good that you can find in the day even on your worst days!! Keep your eyes open for theses gifts and keep your heart open to recognize them. Never forget to laugh 😂 at life. It's too short to spend sobbing.. (even though we all have days like that). Sending gentle {{{{Hugs}}}} and positive vibes and good karma your way!!! 💕😊
