Feb 22, 2017 6:18 PM

So my dr added these two oils to my meds regime. He says to not expect it to be a magic bullet but it should help on a small level. So I'm willing to try it. I've heard mention of these in the last here but just wanted to ask again what are your experiences with tumeric and fish oil has it helped? If so how long til u noticed a difference.

Sweet! I mix tumeric, black pepper, cardamom, and ginger in apple juice and take a few sips throughout the day. Thentumeric is anti liver cancer.

I'm taking mine in a supplement twice a day at 500 mg each.

You have to take black pepper with it some how if the supplement doesn't have it in it. Black pepper activates it to work.

Tumeric usually causes an increase in bowel movements not peeing. Are you more thirsty than usual?

Turmeric does really seem to help with inflammation, I have a turmeric and ginger tea that is really great for flares as it also helps with nausea (plus it has lemongrass and orange in it, so it's crazy tasty). I've been talking fish oil for a long time since I was a vegetarian for a long time, it's a good supplement for diet in general, but I don't know how much it does for pain...

As far as bathroom visits go, I haven't personally noticed much of a difference with the turmeric, but I make frequent bathroom trips anyway (likely due to the large amount of water and tea in my diet). As long as there's not a change in the color, consistency, or odor, and you're staying on top of dehydration, I don't think there's much to worry about.

I'm not any more thirsty then I use to be. I also think I'm drinking to much water in general. I just found out I'm anemic again so I've got to get infusion again. So hopefully I'll see more if a difference with pain once I get that done.
