Stiff fingers..?

Jan 30, 2016 4:21 PM

Every morning I wake up with extremely stiff and weak hands and fingers, which hurt when I try to grip something or roll a fist. Also has not developed into my feet which also get stiff in the morning and are painful to walk on. Does anyone know what it might be? I went to rheumatology and they were mainly looking for arthritis but found nothing and also sent me for a blood test which also came back normal. Could it be bad blood circulation? Or would a nerve trapped in my lower spine do this? I really don't know, any ideas welcome!🙊💖

For your sake I hope it's not, but that is how my rheumatoid arthritis does. Google "rheumatoid arthritis." Trust me, it is NOT just arthritis.

About going to a nuerologist. My arms get so heavy at times they feel like bricks. We just haven't had time to check into that yet. Since I feel that my arthritis might be the cause of some of neurological stuff. Do they feel like they r burning too?! Cause that'd be along those lines.

I've got something similar but mine has to do with my fibro. Kind of feels like my hands are super swollen or even broken some mornings to the point where I can't bend them. I find that lightly moving them around kind of loosens them up. Petting my puppy helps a lot just for the motion of petting him.

They tested for pretty much everything in the blood test including for rheumatoid arthritis and ANA, and it was all clear. My arms don't feel heavy just so achey and stiff I can barely move my fingers. They feel really swollen but they look normal; usually lasts an hour and doing things with my fingers is what helps to get them back to normal x

Still sounds like ra. Keep pushing your doc for answers. There's a such thing as ra that shows up negative in bloodwork. I have RA and fibro, as well as neuropathy that effects my whole body. There's more but I won't bore you with the details. Anyway, I hope that it isn't RA. That opens the door to a whole host of problems, but if it is, it's best to start treatment early.
In the meantime, go to your local pharmacy and order, if they don't have them, IMAK compression gloves. You don't want any other brand, trust me, these are the best. And you want to get them a size smaller than you normally wear. They need to be snug. They feel amazing!!
Keep us posted on what you find out. Take care sweets! 💓
