Stomache issues going crazy

Dec 27, 2015 8:53 AM

I have fibro the past year my stomache has been so bad i have weird needle sharp pains when my digestive system is acting up in my shoulders neck chest lots of belching ..i never can tell if its my stomache or fibro does anyone else have these issues ? Sometimes wonder if its a hormonal issue since ill be 45 next week!:(

Michelle, I have Fibro and I also have GERD. I get a lot of feeling bloated, belching, feeling uncomfortable. There are times when I have aspirated when I was dozing off to sleep and breathed in stomach acid. I now take Zegarid OTC and I don't have the acid any more. Maybe you should go see a gastro and have them check you over to make sure there are no problems. Sending you gentle {{{Hugs}}} and prayers that you find what is causing this issue and that they are able to make you more comfortable.💕🙏🏻🌻

Oh Michelle, in so sorry that you have no insurance and that your issues were dismissed. Is there a clinic nearby that charges on a sliding scale? I know that with medical billing, most will accept payments over time for as little as $5 a week. They don't charge interest and then you can get checked out. I wish I had more for you. Do you ever keep a food journal or any kind of journal so you can perhaps find a common link between your stomach issues and what you eat? Is there anything that makes it better? What makes it worse? I hope that you can get to the bottom of this soon. Feel better. {{Hugs}}🌻🙏🏻

I hear you!! What a nightmare.. I'm sorry that you feel so badly. I know it's hard. I have Fibro, DDD/DJD, cervical spondalytic myelopathy, scoliosis, SI Joint disfunction with fractures, GERD, anxiety/depression (which I had before the pain but it's gotten worse), long thoracic nerve palsy, CRPS/RSD, Grave's Disease, hypothyroidism, TMJ, Lordosis, Costochondritis, possible Sjogrens, MTHFR gene mutation, and a laundry list of other crap that causes pain. If you need to chat, I'm just a keystroke away. Hang in there. 💕🙏🏻🌻

Oh Michelle, it's ok. Pain is not fair to any of us. We all deal with it every day and do the best we can. It's been a long road of 22 years and I've learned to cope most of the time. Being here and helping my fellow pain warrior family helps me feel better. Any time I can make someone feel better or make someone smile, my day is better for it. I mostly post here to give others hope and hugs and support. I try not to post too much myself because it's more important to me to help others than ask for help (just something I have always struggled with). I'm here when you need me, just let me know. You'll always have a hand to hold and a shoulder to lean on. 💕🙏🏻🌻

I'm here whenever you need me to be... I always come on at least once a day unless my day is so bad I can't. Then I catch up the next day. You can email me at Ladygirl94@aol.com anytime.💕

Michellled1971, I have fibro with GERD, IBS-C and sensitivity to wheat and soy. But following major abdominal-pelvic surgery in 2010 my intestines are sluggish. This heavy holiday food has me sick in my stomach, with my food backing up.

Something new that started a year ago is an esophageal stricture. It was dx during an ESD, looking for ulcers. They've done the procedure twice in a year, dilating the area both times. My symptoms are feeling like my food is stuck at the top of the stomach, belching, acid reflux when lying down, and hiccups. I don't know if you have all these symptoms but I thought I'd share. They also found stomach polyps on my last EGD. He said I may have to have something done to permanently let my esophagus stay open, but I think that will cause GERD to be worse. I have abarrium swallow next week to heck my hiatal hernia, to see if it's bigger & part of the problem.

I hope you get to feeling better!

That sounds like when I had my gallbladder going crazy! I went through four years of suffering and all typical negative tests. Then I saw a surgeon to take it out and when he got inside it was dying, turning gangrenous, and filled with stones (didn't show up on xrays). The surgical nurse passed out from the smell, and I woke with a 1" drainage tube coming out of me. Get it checked as soon as you can. My grandad, sister, dad, & nephew all had theirs rupture. Saying a prayer for you! 😷🙏🌼

My friend said same thing she said her shoulders and back also hurt allover so maybe since you are second person to say this i will have it checked as soon as i get insurance! Thank you sweety I appreciate it!!!!!!

My sister & dad hurt in their backs but I didn't.

Michelle, I would agree with Flappys. That sounds like typical gallbladder stuff. With my first attack, it started from a small sip of pepsi. Honestly thought I was going to have to go to the ER right then. Had to stop on the side of the road so I could catch my breathe. Strangely enough, I don't remember my back hurting. Mine was all up under the right side of my rib cage. You might want to try to limit your fat intake until you can get insurance, especially red meat.

Dec 28, 2015 8:01 PM

Ohhhh red meat is so good lol i will be carefull now the pain sometimes drive me crazy

Dec 28, 2015 8:05 PM

And if they take your gallbladder, you might want to hold off on eating high fat stuff as well. It WILL go right through you. I had mine done in 2012 and still can't eat McDonalds due to that same reason. Heaven knows, I just pushed my luck with it Sunday morning.

Dec 28, 2015 8:10 PM

Well guess ill be healthier than thought it would fix it lol

Dec 28, 2015 8:56 PM

I had my gallbladder out in 2012. I was having attacks and ended up in the hospital 4 times in 2012 with stomach pain that went through to my right back side of the ribcage (under my shoulder blade). I would vomit for 20 hours straight. I was in the ER the first time for 13 hours and they said they were going to admit me and run more tests. I told them that after all that time they couldn't tell me anything and I was still just as sick to fuck off and I went home. Then I ended up actually admitted to the hospital 3 times within 8 months and was in for 6 days, 8 days and 7 days. I went home and then they had me come back in a little less than a week and had surgery. (Now, why discharge me to bring me back and operate when they could have done it when I was already there?!?!). Well, they did it ambulatory and then sent me home the same day I went in. I didn't have any new problems with food afterwards. I've always had GERD so I still did after but no other issues. I hope they find the problem and fix it for you. Gentle {{{{Hugs}}} and prayers for a speedy and complete recovery. 💕🙏🏻🌻
