Stress echo done and high cortisol

Aug 22, 2016 2:11 AM

Sorry I havent posted in a while. Massive flare up cause of the cold snap here :'(
Anyone had a stress echo done?
Did mine today and got bp of 200/90 during the exercise not sure if thats heaps high.. when i sit its normal thouh
But apparently high bp and high cortisol levels are common in fibromyalgia?
I also have high cortisol in afternoon
And high DHEA

Layla sorry uve been in a flare. Glad your back now. I'm not sure about the cortisol but I've been told by several drs and my PT that the high BP is in part due to our pain levels. I know for a fact my BP has been been higher and constantly higher or corresponding with my pain levels being high. My GP just gives me another blood pressure pill and my PT says to rest.

Thank you! Its majourly sucked and i over did it at work the other night too
I havent been able to get up off the lounge most of the weekend.
I thought the high bp would be part of the pain
So they will give you medication for it?
Dhea is a hormone made by the adrenal gland

I do the mediation too as well using yoga sounds at night to help me relax more. Tonight it didn't work as far as sleep but it did help me control my breathing

Laalaa, I'm sorry to hear about the flare up. My BP goes up during stress tests. Normally 200 would be high, but I'm not sure of during a test. There are some nurses in the community that may can answer. I have low cortisol, but my doc ran a test on my adrenal gland function (ACTH) and it was fine. Are they testing your adrenal gland function? Hugs love & prayers you'll feel better soon, and the flare ends even sooner! 🙂💕🙏🌸
