Student Loans forgiveness due to disability

Just a word of caution though, if you are on SSI and have the loan forgiven it is viewed as income against you. This is the only reason I haven't done it.

Wow, that is absolutely fantastic!!! I think its a wonderful thing that someone who legitimately is disabled and unable to earn money can have their student loans forgiven. That has to be a huge relief for those who have outstanding loans and don't know how they are ever going to be able to pay them back. Thanks for sharing that information. I will pass it on to folks that I know who have college loans to pay and are not able to work any longer.

Good to hear about your loan forgiveness. I now receive ssd. Warning warning. Do not try talking to representives who call about making monthly payments. How you will know is how nice they r on the phone and when starting to ask questions, they turn psycho and rude. Go to student loan forgiveness only. I learned also to get that form in early. The government will give u back payments you've made but only if u have a date that u send in your form and not before that. They returned my last payments I had made, $600.00
I cannot earn a certain amt of income, lest I make money over the yrly amount they will reinstate my loans. It helps if you r a nurse, police, teacher but go for it. I had $156,000.00 forgiven good luck.
