Supporting vests, equipment etc.

Hi! I've had chronic back pain for about 4 years now and I've FINALLY ordered myself a back supporting thing!! (sry for my bad English) I was just wondering if any of you have tried some kind of supporting thingys? If you have, what's been your experience with it/them?? Mine is supposed to radiate one's own body heat to the area that's hurting and thus it's supposed to help with the pain. Fingers crossed that it'll help!

I once had a lumbar brace, by Apple core or something like that. It helped but then I gained too much weight. I've used the OTC magnetic back pads and the heat radiating while you wear them feels so good. And I'm waiting to get another TENS unit. My PT used one on my neck and scapula this morning, and it felt great.
