Survive while waiting for SSDI

Mar 05, 2017 5:01 PM

My husband lost his SSI when I was working. You now I am trying to get on to SSDI. They keep telling me I can work. The medications I take prevent it. I'm having to appeal again ,feel like I'm losing my mind. I don't understand they are being so special. I just want to be able to take care of my husband. It seems like they want me to fail. Unfortunately US Army trained me otherwise. Wish me luck!

My husband still doesn't have his SSI back. There telling him that he needs to do a complete new application. I'll because I tried to work. This makes no sense. Any suggestions for me?

Just keep trying. A friend got a State Representative on her side. That helped.

Have u talked to a lawyer? The system is rigged so the lawyers get paid. I could not get approved until i hired one. If they take your case you don't have to pay them anything out of pocket.

I have education and worked in same field for 20 plus years and filed is disability at 46. I just turned 48 and just won. There are so many factors to it definitely hire a lawyer. Social security has a set max the attorney can get for representing you so pick the best you can find.
