When I was a kid, there was a candy counter in the middle of my mom's favorite department store. Mom would buy me a licorice rope to munch on while she shopped. It was less than a dollar and nearly as long as I was tall. I loved it!
They should make licorice ropes that are five feet long! Being an adult is loads more difficult than being a kid ever was, and I could really use that jolt of joy and excitement that came from having a piece of candy as tall as I am.
What's your favorite memory of a special childhood treat?
You should just look up the recipe and make one as tall as yourself, yourself! We always baked and made home made ice cream, home made root beer, cookies, candies, jams, all kinds of things, but everything in moderation just becuase we had the sweets didn't mean we chowed down lol
When I was a kid my favorite time was family movie time or our favorite shows that would come on my Mom and Dad would stock up on Hershey Kisses and Pepsi and popcorn and we would rotate between the two each week or we would make our own special Hershey Kisses Rice Krispy Treat's. Now I do movie night every Saturday night with the family to pass on some part of my favorite childhood time's and just to have fun unwinding from the week with the family.
Paper dolls were the best! We used to have "pudding iN a cloud". It's just cool whip with a big dollop of chocolate pudding in the middle, but I LOVED it! Vegan sugar-free pudding and cool whip just aren't the same.
