CatchMyPain Community and Pain Diary App to manage chronic illness

Thank You CatchMyPain

May 21, 2014 8:17 AM

I would like to thank the creators and people who work at CatchMyPain. The program they have created helps me and the professionals I deal with to better understand the pain I have to live with and how it has effected my life and my family's.

My experience with customer support at CatchMyPain has been excellent and the creation of the forums should prove to be beneficial to all who use it, if not to find out how others deal with life altering pain but to also know you are not alone in this.

My message to others in similar circumstances is, don't give up as new therapies are being developed and new medications to help reduce pain are being created. There may be a life that is more tolerable in the near future.

I told my pain management specialist about this app and how it was helping me with understanding my pain. the doctor hadn t heard about pain management apps and has been eager to see how it works and how it might be used by health professionals. I m hoping that he see this as the way forward in pain management.
this app has helped me to evaluate pain on a daily basis and helps inform me to treat pain best. funnily enough this app and this forum reasures me so I don t fret as much about pain and makes it slightly less dominant in my life, it's less to worry about daily.

Me too, I've tried keeping pain diaries before and could never stick to it. But this app makes it so easy that I can finally keep it up regularly. Thanks!

I do this diary at night before bed and have only missed a couple of times. have made a real effort to do this every day and that good cos l have never been able to keep a normal diary before. one of the things I love about this app is that you can colour the areas of pain and it's intensity. what's even better is the descriptors of pain, for me I get stiff and sore after sitting down for a while and then try to get up. also with facet joint damage it grinds at times. I like that it's personalise by your imput and is designed to recognise the diverse ness of pain experience. I started another pain diary that l had to pay for and it's nowhere near as good as this app which l didn t have to pay for! if my pain specialist asks which l prefer, I would defiantly say this one and if I had to recommend a pain app to another pain sufferer, l would say this one.
