The doctor switch trick

Oct 11, 2016 1:03 PM

I found out today that my PCP gave me a refferal to a pain clinic instead of a fibromyalgia specialist. I have been to two pain clinics already and nothing The did helped. Now my husband says he doesn't think 💭 I need to go to another pain clinic. He's worried 😩 about them putting me through a lot more useless and painful 😖 procedures again that don't work.
My husband believes I'm doing a great 👍 job dealing with my pain and other symptoms myself.
I won't know if they are going to take me on as a patient yet. But if they do should I go? What would you w?

Have went and seen this doctor yet? If not, maybe he is familiar with fibromyalgia and help with the treatment.

You can always go to one appt and if he/she goes the way of the other pain specialists then don't return and advocate for yourself with ur pcp. You don't have to have the procedures if they don't work and u don't want them
